Rewards for Feedback

The rewards feature allows you to incentivize customers to share their feedback by offering attractive rewards. This feature is available for Premium and Enterprise plans.

Overview

With the rewards feature, you can:

  • Rewards for feedback: Incentivize customers to share their experiences with attractive rewards
  • Incentives for sharing opinions: Encourage honest feedback by offering valuable incentives
  • Thank-you rewards: Show gratitude to customers who take the time to provide valuable feedback

When enabled, customers will see an opt-in option when submitting their review, allowing them to receive rewards in exchange for their feedback.

Requirements

  • Premium or Enterprise subscription: The rewards feature is only available for paid plans
  • Active review settings: You must have completed your review settings configuration first
  • Reward description: A clear description of what customers will receive (max 1000 characters)
  • Terms and conditions: Detailed terms and conditions for the reward program (max 5000 characters)

Setting Up Rewards

Step 1: Access Reward Settings

  1. Log in to your 2perks dashboard
  2. Navigate to Review SettingsReward Settings
  3. If you don't have a Premium or Enterprise plan, you'll see an upgrade prompt

Step 2: Configure Reward Details

Fill in the following information:

Reward Description

Describe what reward customers will receive when they opt in. Examples:

  • "10% discount code on your next purchase"
  • "Free shipping on your next order"
  • "Exclusive early access to new products"
  • "Enter to win a $100 gift card"

Requirements:

  • Must be between 1 and 1000 characters
  • Should be clear and compelling
  • Explain the value customers will receive

Terms and Conditions

Provide detailed terms and conditions for your reward program. Include:

  • Eligibility requirements
  • How rewards will be delivered
  • Expiration dates (if applicable)
  • Any restrictions or limitations
  • Contact information for questions

Requirements:

  • Must be between 1 and 5000 characters
  • Should be comprehensive and legally compliant
  • Clearly state all terms customers need to know

Step 3: Enable the Reward Program

  1. Check the "Enable reward program" checkbox
  2. Click "Save settings"
  3. Your reward program is now active!

Step 4: Review and Update

You can update your reward settings at any time:

  • Modify the description or terms
  • Enable or disable the program
  • Changes take effect immediately

Customer Opt-In Process

When customers visit your review landing page and rewards are enabled, they'll see an opt-in section.

How It Works

  1. Customer submits review: Customer rates their experience and optionally provides feedback
  2. Opt-in option appears: If rewards are enabled, customers see a checkbox to opt in for rewards
  3. Required information: To opt in, customers must provide:
    • Name: Their full name
    • Email: A valid email address where they'll receive the reward
  4. Submission: When the customer submits the review with opt-in checked, they're added to your reward opt-ins list

What Customers See

  • Clear description of the reward they'll receive
  • Terms and conditions they can review
  • Simple checkbox to opt in
  • Name and email fields (only shown when opting in)

Managing Reward Opt-Ins

Accessing Opt-Ins

  1. Navigate to Reward Opt-Ins in your dashboard
  2. View all customers who have opted in for rewards

Opt-In Status

Each opt-in has a status:

  • Pending: Customer has opted in, reward not yet fulfilled
  • Fulfilled: Reward has been delivered to the customer
  • Cancelled: Opt-in was cancelled (e.g., customer request or invalid entry)

Managing Opt-Ins

Update Status

  1. Find the opt-in in your list
  2. Use the status dropdown to update:
    • Mark as Fulfilled when you've delivered the reward
    • Mark as Cancelled if needed

View Details

Each opt-in shows:

  • Customer name and email
  • Review rating and feedback
  • Date and time of submission
  • Current status
  • Associated review setting

Filter and Search

Use filters to:

  • Filter by status (pending, fulfilled, cancelled)
  • Filter by date range
  • Search for specific customers

Selecting Random Winners

If you're running a contest or giveaway:

  1. Set your date range and filters
  2. Click "Select Random Winner"
  3. The system randomly selects one opt-in from your filtered list
  4. The winner is highlighted in your list

Export Data

Export your opt-ins to CSV:

  1. Apply any filters you want
  2. Click "Export CSV"
  3. Download includes all opt-in details for your records

Best Practices

Reward Description

  • Be specific: Clearly state what customers will receive
  • Highlight value: Emphasize the benefit to the customer
  • Keep it simple: Use clear, easy-to-understand language
  • Be honest: Only promise what you can deliver

Terms and Conditions

  • Be comprehensive: Cover all important details
  • Use clear language: Avoid legal jargon when possible
  • Include contact info: Let customers know how to reach you
  • Set expectations: Clearly state delivery timelines

Reward Fulfillment

  • Fulfill promptly: Deliver rewards in a timely manner
  • Track status: Keep opt-ins updated with current status
  • Follow up: Consider sending confirmation emails when rewards are delivered
  • Monitor engagement: Track which rewards drive the most opt-ins

Compliance

  • Legal requirements: Ensure your reward program complies with local laws
  • Privacy: Handle customer data according to privacy regulations
  • Transparency: Be clear about how customer information is used
  • Fairness: Apply terms consistently to all participants

Limitations

  • Plan requirement: Only available for Premium and Enterprise plans
  • One reward program per review setting: Each review setting can have one reward configuration
  • Character limits:
    • Reward description: 1000 characters max
    • Terms and conditions: 5000 characters max

Examples

Example 1: Discount Code Reward

Reward Description: "Get 15% off your next purchase! Enter your email to receive an exclusive discount code."

Terms and Conditions: "Discount code valid for 30 days from issue date. Cannot be combined with other offers. One code per customer. Valid on purchases over $50."

Example 2: Contest Entry

Reward Description: "Enter to win a $100 gift card! Share your feedback and you'll be entered into our monthly drawing."

Terms and Conditions: "One entry per customer per month. Winner selected randomly from all entries. Winner will be notified via email within 5 business days of selection. Gift card delivered via email. No purchase necessary."

Example 3: Early Access

Reward Description: "Get early access to our new product launch! Be among the first to try our latest features."

Terms and Conditions: "Early access granted within 48 hours of product launch. Access link sent via email. Limited to first 100 participants. Subject to product availability."

Example 4: Raffle / Contest

Reward Description: "Enter our monthly raffle! Leave your review and automatically enter to win a special prize. One winner will be randomly selected each month."

Terms and Conditions: "Entry valid only for reviews completed during the current month. One winner will be randomly selected from all eligible participants. Winner will be contacted via email within 5 business days after selection. Prize will be delivered within 30 days after winner confirmation. No purchase necessary. Limited to one entry per person per month."
